Itinerary

DAY1: AREQUIPA / CHIVAY

07:30 We will begin our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the Yura road, bordering the Chachani mountain towards Pampa Cañahuas (Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve), habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicuñas. In the bofedales of Tocra we will be able to appreciate a variety of migratory birds, among which are the flamingos. We will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We will stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is also the highest area of the road (4,910 meters above sea level) from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range. 13:00 to 13:30 Approximately, we will arrive in Chivay Lunch We will settle in the hotel. Optionally you can visit the thermal baths Dinner Hotel

DAY 2: CHIVAY / CROSS OF CONDOR / CHIVAY / AREQUIPA

06:00 Breakfast 06:30 We will go to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Condor, a strategic observation point of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. On the way back we will stop at the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque; that have beautiful colonial churches, as well as the viewpoints of Achoma and Antahuilque, from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley. Lunch 13:00 Return to the city of Arequipa 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. arrival in the city of Arequipa.
