The Ausangate is one of the highest snow-capped mountains in Peru located in the Vilcanota mountain range 130 kilometers from Cusco. It reaches an altitude of (6,372 m / 20,905 ft) and has several lagoons that are characterized by their blue, turquoise and green colors. Also, some of them are large and look like natural mirrors, the 7 lagoons are: Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, Q'omercocha, Orqo Otorongo, and China Otorongo.
ITINERARY
Pick up 4:30 to 5:00 from their respective hotels, Then we will make the trip for 3 hours to the village of Pacchanta for breakfast and start walking for 4 hours to the beautiful lagoons of Ausangate (Azulcocha, Otorongo, Oquecocha, Murococha Pucacocha, Alpacocha and Qomercocha.).
In addition we can appreciate the mountains of Ausangate, and the entire mountain range Qayangate, also during this tour we will see birds, alpacas, llamas, many vizcachas and hopefully even the Andean condor. After making a circuit we will return to Pacchanta to enjoy the hot springs and have lunch. Finally we will return to Cusco arriving at 19:00pm.
