Queshuachaca or Q'eswachaka (in Quechua, q'ichwa chaka 'straw rope bridge, is a rope bridge built of vegetable fiber (ichu) that is located in the district of Quehue, province of Canas in the department of Cusco at 3700 m above sea level across the Apurimac River. The existence of this bridge dates back to Inca times and its maintenance and renovation is done through a rite performed by the communities of Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Ccollana Quehue and Choccayhua. The bridge is 28 meters long and 1.20 meters wide, its structure is basically made of long strips of braided ichu.
ITINERARY
Pick up starts from 4:30 to 5:30 am Pick up each passenger from their respective hotels, around the historic center of Cusco. We will travel from Cusco to Cusipata by bus to have breakfast and then we will continue to the Combapata viewpoint, there we will have a 20 minutes stop. 8:50 to 9:10 Pampamarca guided 10 minutes later we will continue to the volcano of Pabellones where we will have 30 minutes of exploration to continue to the volcano of Pabellones and Yanaoca (15 minutes free in Yanaoca bathrooms, stores, water, etc.) after this stop we will arrive to the bridge Qeswachaka with 1 hour of guided visit on the bridge. 12:00 to 13:00 stop in Tungasuca, we will visit the 4 lakes and then have lunch and finally return to Cusco 17:15pm
