ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO - PISCACUCHO KM. 82 - HUAYLLABAMBA (A) (C)
We transport you from your hotel in our comfortable private bus, after crossing the towns of Chincheros, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo in "Sacred Valley of the Incas" we head to Piscacucho at Km. 82 of the Cusco - Machupicchu railway, the starting point of our trek. We have lunch in Miskay with a stop of 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately, then we restart the trek to the first camp in Huayllabamba, after a guided visit of the Archaeological Group of Llactapata.
DAY 2: HUAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PACAYMAYO (B) (A) (C)
After breakfast, the hardest part of the trail begins, with a steep ascent, followed by a 3-hour hike to reach the first pass, called Warmiwañañusca (Dead Woman), at 4,200 m.Here you will not only enjoy incredible panoramic views of the whole area, but you will also have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole area
DAY 3: PACAYMAYO - PUYUPATAMARCA - WIÑAYHUAYNA (B) (A) (C)
After an energetic breakfast we start the hike to ascend to the second most important pass of the trek at 3,800 m. above sea level. During the journey we will enjoy a guided visit to the archaeological site of Runkuraqay where again we find important vestiges of the Inca Culture, we continue to Sayacmarca place where we will have lunch to continue walking and watching how the geography is changing from dry and mountainous aspect to tropical green on this route is Puyupatamarca (town in the clouds), another important archaeological monument after another short walk we arrived at the last camp in Wiñaywayna, where after dinner, we will spend the night.
DAY 4: WIÑAYHUAYNA - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO (B)
After breakfast, one hour hike through the forest to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), known as the entrance gate to Machupicchu, from where you have an impressive panoramic view of the citadel. Upon arrival to Machupicchu, guided tour of the citadel, visiting the main remains and monuments, such as the. Main Square, the. Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal quarters, the temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Free time to walk around the citadel and then meet the rest of the group and be transferred by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). In the afternoon return to Cusco by train. Upon arrival in Cusco, transfer to the selected hotel.
