ITINERARY

DAY 1: AREQUIPA / CHIVAY

07:30 We will start our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the road to Yura, bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas), habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicuñas. In the wetlands of Tocra we can see a variety of migratory birds, including flamingos. We will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We will stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is also the highest point of the trail (4,910 m.a.s.l.) from where we will be able to appreciate a great part of the western mountain range. 13:00 to 13:30 Approximately, we will arrive to Chivay Lunch We will settle in the hotel. Optionally you can visit the thermal baths Dinner Hotel.

DAY 2: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CONDOR / CHIVAY / AREQUIPA

06:00 Breakfast 06:30 We will go to the viewpoint of the cross of the condor, strategic observation point of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the condor. On the way back we will stop in the villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque, which have beautiful colonial churches, as well as in the viewpoints of Achoma and Antahuilque, from where we will observe the impressive mountain range of the valley. Lunch 13:00 Return to the city of Arequipa 16:30 to 17:00 hours arrival to the city of Arequipa.
