Palcoyo, also known as the Mountain of Colors or the Rainbow Mountains, is a set of three mountains located in the Andes Mountains, in the Chacacupe District of the Province of Canchis, Department of Cusco. The phenomenon of colorful mountains is recent. Not long ago, Palcoyo was mostly covered in snow, but the tempwarm eratures have laid bare their coats of colour.
ITINERARY
I pick up each passenger from their respective hotels, then we will make the trip through the South Valley, a stop in the town of Checacupe to appreciate the colonial suspension bridge, where you can take some photos and if you like the group you can walk on the suspension bridge, here you can make useof the toilets, we continue our journey to the village of Combapata (3,630 m.a.s.l.) from this point we will travel along an unpaved route until we reach the Colored Mountain of Palccoyo. We arrive at a point allowed for buses from where you can already appreciate the colorful mountains overlooking the snow-capped Ausangate. We started a brisk walk to exploderare the area and enjoy the enigmatic nature where your adventure will be rewarded on our bus and then go to the place where we will enjoy the delicious lunch, return to Cusco by the same route.
